Thule's Bike Trailer Thru-Axle Adapters replace your 12mm rear thru-axle to let you connect your bike trailer to the bicycle.

This part connects the trailer with a square tow bar to the hitch. It attaches inside the tow bar and locks in place inside the hitch using a retaining pin (Standard Forged Hitch & Steel Hitch) or bolt and nut (Classic Hitch). This flexible connector can stretch easily to allow the rider to lay down the bike. Includes safety strap with retaining pin for use with the Standard Forged Hitch or Steel Hitch. If being used with the Classic Hitch the Classic Hitch Safety Strap (part 950067) will also need to be purchased.

Designed for use with slotted horizontal or vertical single-position dropouts, the Excellent Adventure Axle is compatible only with 12 x 148mm hubs. Compatible Surly models include Skid Loader, our compact electric cargo bike, as well as Karate Monkey, Krampus, Grappler, Ogre, Lowside, ECR, and Troll. Once again, the 12 x 148mm hub requirement cannot be overstated. The Robert Axle Project QR Hitch Adapter is a high quality, finely machined hitch adapter for towing single-arm trailers on bikes with 5mm quick release rear axles. Our stainless steel, QR Hitch Adapter helps trailer hitches fit more bikes, easily clearing hooded and interfering dropouts. Easy to install, by simply replacing the QR nut. Our adapter uses a 5mm hex to ensure your hitch and pre-cious cargo are more securely attached than other knurled adapters. The 5mm hex also isolates and protects dropouts from marring and over-tightening of the quick release when installing the hitch.
