This handy piece replaces the wheel yoke of your Surly Bill or Ted trailer and inserts into the horizontal tubes on the non-drive side of your Surly Big Dummy cargo bike, thereby making it possible to haul your trailer using your cargo bike. Designed for use with slotted horizontal or vertical single-position dropouts, the Excellent Adventure Axle is compatible only with 12 x 148mm hubs. Compatible Surly models include Skid Loader, our compact electric cargo bike, as well as Karate Monkey, Krampus, Grappler, Ogre, Lowside, ECR, and Troll. Our stainless steel, QR Hitch Adapter helps trailer hitches fit more bikes, easily clearing hooded and interfering dropouts. Easy to install, by simply replacing the QR nut. Our adapter uses a 5mm hex to ensure your hitch and pre-cious cargo are more securely attached than other knurled adapters. The 5mm hex also isolates and protects dropouts from marring and over-tightening of the quick release when installing the hitch.
